Biography and Contributions to Beekeeping
A Slovak Catholic priest and Enlightenment writer, Fándly wrote practical books for rural people. His treatise on beekeeping (1802) was one of the first in the Slovak language. He urged villagers to adopt rational, non-destructive hive management as a way out of poverty, and he helped spread beekeeping knowledge through Upper Hungary.
